Liberty Belle http://www.seas.upenn.edu/~solarwww/liberty_tech.html Description After retiring Phaeton, the Team took on the task to build Penn's second car Liberty Belle. Belle, as the Team came to call it, was completed in early 1994 and raced in the 1994 Tour de Sol. There Belle finished third and won an award for most efficient vehicle. The summer of 1995, Belle was redesigned and raced in Sunrayce '95, starting in Indianapolis and finishing in Denver. There it set records for acceleration and handling. |
