we retrofitted our gap changer with a hex shaft, but had no way of holding it in place. this slowed us down over the course of the race day, but we didnt notice until day 2 because the afternoon of day 1 was cloudy. this is me hacking up a wrench, which is glued to a socket with 5 minute epoxy. we zip-tied this on our gap changer in Alice Springs, and it kept us going 105 kph on day 3.
