Wind Tunnel Testing, Front Fairing Modified Photo by Sean Willis created 5/21/1998 submitted 9/9/2003 08:49:27 PM Front Fairing Extension Wind Tunnel Test for UIUC Photon Torpedo. In an attempt to delay or eliminate stagnation behind the rear fairings, an additional fiberglass mockup of a fairing extension was added to the vehicle and tested for both flow pattern and overall drag reduction.
