Here a layer of breather is applied over the peel ply before being trimmed to fit. This allows for air to evacuate and soaks up excess epoxy. It should be cut about an inch away from the vaccum bag tape.

Here a layer of peel ply is placed on top of the test panel. This helps to create a surface for later bonding and allows excess epoxy to seep out of the carbon.

Here vacuum bag has been placed to cover the enire panel and overhang on the vacumm tape. The seals should be checked for leaks and creases.

Here is a test panel with a good vacuum. (-28 inches Mercury). Now it stays to cure.

Here the layers of peel ply and breather are removed from the test panel. The panel will then the post cured and cut for test samples.

Sample composite panels are layed up for testing. Here PVA mold release is applied to a non-porous surface before the wet layup to allow release of the panel after cure.

nomex core is placed on the wetted carbon fiber. The core should be smaller than the carbon to make a uniform panel. The vacuum tape should be a few inches away from the fiber.

Epoxy is applied to the carbon fiber. The finished panel will be cut into test samples.
